Mt Abram Confirms December 10th Opening
Mt Abram (Bethel, Maine) has confirmed that they’ll be opening for skiing and riding on December 10th.
In an email, General Manager Dave Scanlan told WinterReview: “We’ve been crushing snowmaking for the last four days and are on track for a Saturday opening.”
Mt Abram is an independent, family oriented ski hill near Greenwood, Maine. Mt Abram will open top to bottom with 1100′ of vertical terrain and at least 3 trails. According to Scanlan, they could open additional terrain as early as Sunday if the forecast holds.
Mt Abram has a history of keeping up with the larger resorts and offering local and regional residents a consistent and reliable ski facility. Scanlan says that hanging with the larger resorts is important for Mt Abram. “For us to come out and show that we can open early, open consistently and consistently offer good snow is an important thing for us to grow our reach to those that are looking for a smaller, cooler, funky down home vibe but with dependable skiing.”
This year the facility has increased snow making abilities by upgrading water infrastructure and added new trails to the map as well.
Visit Mt Abram this season and see what a smaller, cooler, funkier, non-corporate ski hill with a down home vibe is all about.
