Eagle Point Resort
Eagle Point Resort Overview
Eagle Point is a ski resort located near Beaver, UT. This area has all of the amenities of a larger resort. Ski-out condos, dining, aprés, full service rentals/repairs, a hot tub garden and world class trails are all part of the deal at Eagle Point. While boasting world class amenities, Eagle Point maintains a distinctly independent vibe.
Four chair lifts (2 double, 1 triple, 1 quad) and one surface lift service 650 acres of what Eagle Point refers to as “Utah’s Greatest Snow on Earth®”. Furthermore, they average 350″ of snowfall a year. Even better, they border Fishlake National Forest. In cooperation with the USFS there are several gates where adventurers can explore some of Utah’s best back country touring terrain. If back country adventure isn’t your style, you can warm up in the “Lookout”. Lookout is a warming cabin with 360° views of Puffer Lake, Lake Peak and majestic Mount Holly which peaks at 12,001′.
This little ski resort has a varied history, opening in 1972 as Mount Holly Ski Area with a double chair and a T-bar. Over the years it has been owned by various groups and gone by various names. Previous efforts to develop a private ski and golf resort were abandoned. The resort was purchased in 2009 by the current group of owners, including Shane Gadbaw. Gadbaw is the CEO and routinely sends email updates to his customers. The current ownership “takes a hands on approach, ensuring that guests experience the intimate, family-friendly, guests-first experience that the resort has always been known for.”
In a recent email to guests, Owner and CEO Shane Gadbaw wrote, “Eagle Point will remain a place to experience peacefulness and serenity in the mountains with your family and friends. Let the mega resorts get even more mega. We’ll do it our way at Eagle Point.” Preach it Shane!!
